Richards Rodriguez and Skeith LLP is proud to announce the addition of Robert L. Seibert as partner. (6/5/2008)
Mr. Seibert has been practicing law for 24 years including more than ten years at the Office of the Attorney General (Administrative Law and Energy Divisions) with experience representing state agencies as their general counsel (including the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners, Texas Finance Commission, Fire Protection Commission, the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs–Manufactured Housing Division and the Texas Funeral Services Commission) and litigation for those agencies as well as the Texas Health and Human Services Commission and all of the agencies under its regulatory umbrella. From the private side of the docket, he maintains a construction law practice and a health care practice.

In the area of construction law, he currently acts as General Counsel for the Associated Plumbing, Heating and Cooling Contractors of Texas and represents many plumbing and HVAC contractors in Texas regarding licensing and complaint matters before the Plumbing Board, Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, and the Texas Residential Construction Commission. Robert handles all of the regulatory work for The Home Depot in Texas as well as some of their commercial litigation. Robert also handles representation of landowners before the Public Utility Commission in the construction of transmission lines for public utilities such as the LCRA.

In the arena of health law, he represents health care providers including hospitals, physicians, nurses, pharmacists and pharmacies regarding licensing and complaint matters before their respective licensing agencies, as well as before state agencies responsible for regulation of Medicaid and workers´ compensation benefits and any litigation surrounding these matters at the trial and appellate levels.

Robert also handles copyright, trademark and other IP matters, as well as representation of creditors in bankruptcy proceedings. His legal areas of expertise include administrative, appellate, construction, health care, general litigation, and regulatory law.

Austin Attorney Mr. Paul Skeith Honored by Texas Bar Foundation
Mr. Paul Skeith has been elected to membership in the Fellows of the Texas Bar Foundation. Fellows of the Foundation are selected for their outstanding professional achievements and their demonstrated commitment to the improvement of the justice system throughout the state of Texas. Election is a mark of distinction and recognition of Mr. Skeith's contributions to the legal profession.
Selection as a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation is restricted to members of the State Bar of Texas. Each year one-third of one percent of State Bar members are invited to become Fellows. Once nominees are selected, they must be elected by the Texas Bar Foundation Board of Trustees. Membership has grown from an initial 254 Charter Fellows in 1965 to more than 7,500 Fellows throughout Texas today.
